Snowfest is the best place to check out the latest gear, find out details about the best resorts, and check out all the fun and excitement of another winter sports season fast approaching.  And, with Sail & Ski Center ’s Ski/Snowboard Swap and Ski Sale, it’s a great place to find some bargains, too.

This year we have a tubing hill covered in snow sponsored by Vail, Keystone, Breckenridge, Heavenly and Beaver Creak resorts.  This is great fun for the kids!  Speaking of snow, we will also have a snow play area for the really little ones, sponsored by Colorado Ski Country, Copper Mountain , Crested Butte and Winter Park resorts. This will get your kids ready for the real snow in ski country, so bring them out.

For those older kids, and the kids in all of us, we’ve got Warren Miller’s latest film, “Higher Ground”.  This legendary film maker knows how to get us right in on the action so we all feel like we are really out there skiing and snowboarding. This is another instant classic from the godfather of ski movie directors, and is not to be missed. If this movie doesn’t get you in the mood for winter sports, nothing will.  Show times are on Saturday, November 5 at 10:30am, 12:30 & 2:30pm; Sunday, November 6 at 11:15am, 1:15 & 3:15pm.

For those of you looking for some bargains, you can’t beat the Sail & Ski Swap. The swap entails gently used equipment and clothing available at bargain basement (and below!) prices. You have to check it out to believe these prices. In addition, Sail & Ski will have brand new equipment for sale at pre-season savings

If you’re looking for a bargain, and want to help our neighbors in need, check out our silent auction. The silent auction is a great way to get some unique items, and all proceeds go the Red Cross to assist in disaster relief efforts. Now that’s a bargain that makes you feel good, too!
